You may not know that proper windshield installation is critical to the safety of the occupants of a vehicle.  This is true for several reasons.  First of all the windshield is responsible for holding up the roof in case of a rollover.  Occupants can be crushed if the roof is not held up.  When  a vehicle is equipped with a passenger side airbag, most of them deploy against the windshield before it goes forward to protect the passenger.  If the windshield is not properly installed, the airbag can actually send the windshield flying out of its frame.
